My PowerBookG4, running 10.3 won't start up any more... what's going on?
I was yesterday cleaning up a bit the HD, I repaired permisions with the Disc Utility, then I used the Macjanitor, then I did nothing for a while, after I Norton-virus -scan the HD and put myself to sleep.... zzzz.
I waked up this morning, and the computer was stacked at some frame of the flurry-screen-saver... and didn'te react to anything, not even possible to force quit...
Then I pressed the power button and nothing... the circle stoped spinning after a while.
Restarted, the same happened.
Place the CD of the Software install-restore... and the only thing I see is over and over again a message that says:
Now, I'd like to try the HardwareTest CD, but I can't even get out the previous CD (...by the way, is it any way of doing that with a paper clip as in other machines?)
Heeeeeeeeelp..!
I'm getting desperate, never had such a problem b4, sorry.
Any words will be very appreciated, thanks, fernando
