Question regarding Mac OSX in office environment.

How would you enforce password policy, control which applications are available to users, manage patches, and administer the network?
 
OS X Server comes with the Workgroup Manager, which will do all those things.

Is it the best product for that? Others with more experience may add their favorites on that.
 
Mac OS X client computers integrate nicely with Active Directory as well, for the most part. You can't control which apps are available with Active Directory nor distribute patches, but it manages security and logins just fine.
