start up/wake up

is there anyway i can make my computer automatically wake up/start up at a certain time each day?

Sure. If you are running Mac OS X 10.3 (aka Panther), open System Preferences -> Energy Saver -> Schedule, else if you don't have Panther you can use a shareware like iBeeZz (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/10589).

You don't need a shareware app for that if you don't have Panther. Mac OS X has had this feature since OS 9 I'm certain, and perhaps even earlier...

OS 9 had it. 10.0 didn't have it. 10.1 didn't have it. 10.2 didn't have it. 10.3 has it.

10.2 didn't have it, seriously !? I didn't remember that...though I always trust the knowledge of ElDiablo...

Naah, I don't think it did! I might be mistaken, but I remember much hooplah over that feature from the time Mac OS X debuted until now... a search on Apple's support page for "Energy Saver Schedule" brings up documents for OS 9 and OS 10.3 only -- the last two OSs I know of that supported it.

I'll do some searching and find out for sure...
