Here's my dilemma.
I have 2008 MBP, 2.6GHz Core 2 Duo, 4G RAM, 7200rpm HD; Wife has 2014 MBP, 2.5GHz I7, 16G RAM, SSD.
Her's FLIES!! Ever since I updated to Yosemite, I CRAWL.
(Under Snow Leopard, it was fairly speedy....and NO, I won't go back)
Although Apple says 4G RAM is max, MacTracker says it'll take 6G. I can upgrade to 6G for $110 & install a 240G SSD for a tad over $200. BUT...big but...will it really do very much for my 7 year old MBP? A slight speed increase doesn't interest me, but a major one (maybe 20-30%) would save me around $2000.
Would like opinions, please
