Hi everyone,
I'm having issues with my Macbook Pro's (late 2006 model, I think) screen buzzing.
It only buzzes when on low brightness settings, and when on the highest setting it doesn't buzz anymore. When it warms up (enclosure base temperature is greater than 30 C), even on the lowest...
Hey - thanks! I'll check out that link.
The only problem, is that the new battery I bought is a third party battery. It's from a high-quality company (not one of those cheap batteries made in Asia) ; it's only cheaper because the Apple brand logo isn't slapped on. I've bought batteries from...
Again, this also happens with my new battery (health is at 100% and only 8 cycles on the new one.) so I don't think it is a battery issue. And my 'old' battery (nearing 5 years old now with a little less than 300 cycles) is at 79% health.
I think you misunderstood me. It DOES NOT go into the special sleep mode like it is supposed to. It just shuts down and I have to restart it again. Nothing is saved to the RAM to preserve my data.
Snow leopard will work from Tiger. I just upgraded from Tiger to Snow Leopard and it worked perfectly. Just make sure to follow the guide the other person posted.
I recently upgraded my Macbook Pro (was bought in 2006) with a bigger hard-drive, more RAM, and installed Snow Leopard. (10.6.8)
I also got a new battery because my old one was only holding 40 minutes of charge (while computer is idling) which is not enough for my uses.
Before I go on...
Yes, things went back to normal when I uninstalled the program.
I uninstalled it, then reinstalled Snapz Pro X. I changed the hotkey to something like Command-Shift-7. I tried to take a screenshot using Command-Shift-3, and it didn't work.
I checked in System Preferences, and apparently...
Hello. I am unable to take screenshots using Command-Shift-3 (in order to take a full screen screenshot). Oddly enough, I am able to take screenshots using all other shortcuts, just not using the shortcut Command-Shift-3 , which is the feature that I want to use. Using the program 'Grab' works...
Okay, I did that. It 'kind of' worked.
Here's a screenshot that I took using Command-Shift-3. It worked, note how Snapz Pro X is still open and both have different hotkeys.

I exited out of the program, and the 'Keyboard and mouse list hotkey' seemed to...
Oddly, the shortcut is the exact same as the new Snapz Pro X hotkey that I changed it to. Before, it was Command-Shift-3. I changed the program's shortcut to Command-Shift-9, and that's what 'save picture of screen as a file' says. I just changed the option (not from the program) back to...
