    10.2 will be faster than 10.1 on just about EVERYTHING... How ever, there is a lot more Dual Processor optimization in 10.2, and MANY popular OS X apps are now being optimized for Dual Processors... (check the apple site - new G4 section) I'd say 6 months from now that 800Mhz emac is...

    Run 10.1.3 on a 233mhz 7500!

    I've got OS X (10.1.3) running on a 7500 at home with a 233Mhz 604e, 160Megs of Ram, and a Firewire card... It recognizes my ADB stuff (keyboard, mouse), my SCSI Zip drive, and my external FW HD with no problems! (I wouldn't recommend using classic) But OS X is faster than you'd think...

    Yes, my Titanium iBook keeps burning my legs! I know it's not a "LapTop" but come on Apple, these 1Ghz G3's shouldn't be getting this hot through the Titanium. (I usually use mine on the bus, so I can't comment about the airport issues).

    I updated both a 333Mhz iMac, and a 867Mhz Quicksilver using software update, and I've found NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!! The only thing I've noticed is you can now view "all headers", or "raw source" in Mail.app and the finder seems to be much snappier... espically on the iMac. -A

    command line CD Burn on Quicksilver with Superdrive

    Anybody know how I can accomplish this? I'm hoping to be able to automate a CD Bakup via cron, but I don't know what command line options let me burn. I saw a mention of applescript somewhere, and I saw some refs to other *nix CLI burn programs, can anyone point me in the right direction?
