I just got a powerbook G4 12" 867MHz...the battery seemed fine but I left it out unplugged the other night–on my floor in my room–and the cold must of drained the battery...before it would say I had a lot of time before the battery was out–like 12 or even more–and now that its recharging from 0...

Is there a good–and preferable free-software for cleaning up your hard drive? My iBooks seems to be running a bit slow lately and I wanted to know if there were any good programs to clean things up?

After installing Tiger on my iBook G4 apple remote desktop stopped working. When I try to open the application it just quits before anything happens. Ever run into this problem? Suggestions?

Hopefully it won't have to come to that. I was reading around the forum, and it seems that some people have installed Tiger from an external dvd driver–one thats firewire. Hopefully I'll be able to do that as well.

Yes, I have a firewire port. My iBook is more then capable of Tiger–with the exception of the dvd drive. Your saying that I can boot off the disc from an external dvd driver and/or burner as long as its firewire?

I have Tiger on the dvd disc, but I don't have a dvd drive–in my iBook. My friend has an external USB dvd drive. Is there anyway I can use it to start up off the cd. I just want to find out a way without having to send it back to apple to get the cd rom. Any ideas?

I have an iPod mini and the scroll wheel is white, so it gets dirty pretty easily. Is there a special kind of wipe–or anything–that gets the dirt and crap off well?

I just bought a silver 6GB iPod Mini. They don't seem to scratch as easily as the other iPods, so would you say its nessesary that I should buy a case? And if so, which?

There are G4 iBooks without dvd drives. I have one.

I don't have a dvd drive in my G4 iBook, but my friend has a firewire–or usb, I forget–dvd drive. Can I install it using that? I'm guessing not, but its worth asking.
