Yes. It does install some preference files though, so i guess you wouldn't get these out just by deleting the .app .

Mathematica Preview no good on 10.1

i work at columbia univ. and they effectively have a site liscense for the whole university! so in exchange for what must be a massive ammount of money, wolfram gives us some special treats. is it easy to uninstall 10.1 and go back to 10.0.4? i imagine all i have to do is pop the old cd in...

Mathematica for OSX on its way

here is what a guy from their company says: "We have delayed our "finished product" of the MacOS-X compatible version until we finish our build for 10.1.... although details are sketchy, I've heard that 10.1 broke some of our builds for OS-X so we're working on that right now." can't wait.

Mathematica Preview no good on 10.1

i've been using a preview version of mathematica 4.1 for the last couple of months. unfortunately it's no longer working now that i've upgraded to 10.1. this REALLY sucks because i can't seem to open up the OSX made notebooks in other versions of Mac Mathematica.

    Mathematica on OSX

Actually, there is an AlitVec kernel that claims to be optimized for the G4... when I get it on the G4 I'll let you know if it speeds things up signifigantly.

manipulating pixels in TIFF images in OSX?

hello, i need to know how to read pixel intensity values of tiff images in C. are there built in libraries for doing this in OSX developer kit? or do i have to install the libtiff libraries myself (http://www.libtiff.org)? if so, what is the most elegant way of doing this? a little...

    pict w/ alpha

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to find a list of functions for accessing pixels in TIFF images. Basically I only need to be able to read out single pixel values in a C program, but I am totally clueless in terms of what functions to use / where to get them. This must be a very...

    Mathematica on OSX

Well, I just got the preview of mathematica for OSX. The install was easier than ever... it involved a single drag and drop. The program itself seems to be a bit faster than it was before. Importing data files from disk seems to have improved. Even some of the calculations that I do seem...

    Classic quitting on startup?

When you say you did a full uninstall, reinstall, what OS are you referring to, X or 9.1?
  10. B

Cannot get Classic to run in X

You should be able to boot into 9.0 simply by selecting it from the startup disk menu in the control panel. Expand the listing for the hard drive that 9.0 is on and you may see the system folder for 9.0 still there. At least this is the way it was for me. When you want to get back to 9.1, you...

Mathematica to come to OS X

Yeah, they have a beta testing progam. You can try contacting customer support and convincing them that you're a developer and it would be in there best interest to give you a beta. I get it because my University is a big Wolfram customer and so they treat us extra special. ;) Wolfram is...

Mathematica to come to OS X

Yeah, I'm getting a trial version of Mathematica for OS X shortly... it has some known bugs but should be done by the summer according to them. I am having problems getting certain notebooks to open in mathematica. These notebooks have the right extensions (.nb) and are definitely mathematica...
