For work, I've started using a VOIP phone (Cisco 7960). The phone requires some port forwarding, and works fine if I plug it directly into the router (Netgear MR814).

Hmm - I was hoping to do this via the OS somehow as I don't want to install unecessary software (I would never use Sound Studio, so paying $50 for it is a little crazy).
Any other ideas?

Is there a way to swap the left and right audio channels via software? Or is there a file that I can edit to swap them? Any point in the right direction would be appreciated.

I'm having the exact same problem. - My internet works fine, I can recieve mail - but I cannot send mail. It just continnually asks me for the password of my smtp server.
Any ideas?

All I was doing was making the interface I wanted in the 'Interface Builder' program that is included with the developer tools, taking a screenshot, and then chopping it up in photoshop to fit the site. I've since moved on to my own design, but it's fun to do nonetheless.

My guess is that they wanted to show something that was really dynamic (they did show Jobs surfing the web by wireless laptop) that showed the speed of the transfer.

So I just became a contractor, and now need to file my taxes in a quarterly fashion. If anyone could provide me with any pointers or suggestions on getting taxes one on a Mac (preferably in OS X) I would be greatly appreciative.

In order of importance (sorta):
1) Virtual Desktops - this might raise odd dock issues, but lordy I need it. and every other OS can do it.
2) USB Printer Sharing - Windows can do it quite easily...
3) Command + ~ to change between windows in finder (how it works in every other app)...
found the answer myself in the apple knowledge database :) Just boot into 9 and delete this file:
/Library/Prefrences/com.apple.windowserver.plist
and then reboot into X

so - I was setting my monitor down to 640 x 480 to make sure that a web page I was working on would fit properly, and when I went to switch back to 1600x1200, I accidentally clicked the 1900x1700 (or sumpin like that) resolution setting. As my monitor does not support that, It started freaking...
