Sharing 802.11 with a crossover cable connected IP Phone

For work, I've started using a VOIP phone (Cisco 7960). The phone requires some port forwarding, and works fine if I plug it directly into the router (Netgear MR814). However, I would like to be able to connect the phone to my powerbook via a crossover cable, and use the wireless connection to...

switching left and right audio channels in software?

Hmm - I was hoping to do this via the OS somehow as I don't want to install unecessary software (I would never use Sound Studio, so paying $50 for it is a little crazy). Any other ideas? E

Legality of using Interface Builder to make a web menu

All I was doing was making the interface I wanted in the 'Interface Builder' program that is included with the developer tools, taking a screenshot, and then chopping it up in photoshop to fit the site. I've since moved on to my own design, but it's fun to do nonetheless. E

    Schiller's MWNY99 Freefall?

My guess is that they wanted to show something that was really dynamic (they did show Jobs surfing the web by wireless laptop) that showed the speed of the transfer. Anyhoo.... E

    Schiller's MWNY99 Freefall?

It was the debut of the Airport, and to demonstrate that 2 computers could communicate wirelessly, Shiller pulled out a laptop with some sort of 'accellerometer' attachment. Job's had a computer that read the output from the accellerometer on Shiller's laptop. They had Shiller shake the laptop...

I've searched all over apple's site, and can't find any sort of license covering the user of IB for somethign other than making Apple programs. So my question is: Is it legal to use Apple's Interface Builder to make navigation on a commercial website? (It is being done as an homage, not...

    Monitor Resolution setting?

so - I was setting my monitor down to 640 x 480 to make sure that a web page I was working on would fit properly, and when I went to switch back to 1600x1200, I accidentally clicked the 1900x1700 (or sumpin like that) resolution setting. As my monitor does not support that, It started freaking...

I hate the choices on the initial macosx.com page

we are here for the mac community, not windows or linux or whatever else is there. The rest of those topics don't even have as many posts TOTAL as does the Moac OS X: Discussion topic. Please return the sections back to the way they used to be with the Mac page coming up first. Usability wise...

    Virtual Desktops

This topic has come up before, but never with any real resolution. space.app doesn't really count, as it only does batch hide/unhide for app windows (which is handy). But I'm looking for multiple screens. when I've got everything going my screen (21") gets very cluttered. While I'm also...
