    Router(s) ceased working

I just returned from a 2 week vacation. Prior to leaving, all worked well. I have a Belkin wireless 54G router in my home office. When the cable modem is connected directly to the ethernet port, all works well. As soon as I put the router back in the chain (CAT cable from modem to...

Problem with Mini & DVI interference

There are just the ususal options for On Screen Display: Digital or Analog, Brightness, Contrast. All other settings such as resolution are done through the Displays Preference Pane.

Problem with Mini & DVI interference

I know it's a problem with the Mini only, because I used my ViewSonic 19" LCD monitor all summer on my G5 as a dual display. I just hooked it into my PowerBook via the same DVI cable and works great. The problem on the Mini is that there are intermittent dark horizontal lines that flicker on...

Keynote 1.1 not working on Tiger

Yep, it is in the apps folder. I do know that it was working at one point and now it's not. If it wasn't a trial version, of which I am fairly certain, then it should be able to update.

Keynote 1.1 not working on Tiger

OK, so I haven't used it in 3 years. Now that I need it, it starts loading themes, then tells me to quit. A search on Apple's support site said to upgrade to 1.1.1 When I try to do that it tells me that Keynote isn't installed. I'm pretty sure it was part of the iLife package when it was free...

    Mail problem driving me insane!

Well thanks-I was going to spend hours trying all of that! I was even going to buy my Mini ahead of schedule to see if Tiger and a clean install would work. The strange thing is that I have some notes in my PIM that the same thing happened months (years?) ago and I don't remember how it...

    Mail problem driving me insane!

Thanks, but I can't find settings on the site, other than security and spam software I don't use, password settings, which are correct and the modem manufacturer and Modem MAC Address, which I don't think I use. As I said, the settings in Mail haven't changed since it worked fine. Any ideas?

    Mail problem driving me insane!

For some reason, with no updates to anything (OS 10.3.9, Mail 1.3.11 v622) the Mail icon in the dock bounces every few minutes and asks for my password. I assume this is whenever there is new mail. Have called the ISP (Cox) and their fee-for-service software support (didn't charge). The former...

PCI USB 2.0 Cards & Deep Sleep

Whoops, forgot to add - is the same going to be true if I pop for a G5 this summer?

PCI USB 2.0 Cards & Deep Sleep

OK, so I'm on my 2nd PCI USB 2.0 card. Here's what happens: 1. When my G4 goes into deep sleep with a CFlash card in a reader attached to the PCI card, it takes forever to wake up with an alert that the device wasn't properly ejected. 2. With the CF card removed and the reader still plugged...

    Mail duplicate messages

All of a sudden every message I receive in Mail is duplicated. There have been no system changes or anything else I can figure to explain this. Keychain has only my single account and I do not have .mac. Any ideas?

    PCI USB 2.0 Cards

Thanks for the help. After the kind of research one usually devotes to a brain operation, I found out that nobody lists their voltage and manufacturers don't want to be bothered returning inquiries. Went to CompUSA and almost bought the "generic" combo card, when next to it I spotted an Adaptec...

    PCI USB 2.0 Cards

Thanks for the heads up. Could you tell me the model number of the CompUSA (hate em, but will do business with them if necessary) that runs at 3.3v? Manufacturers and retailers, like MacMall never post the voltage, and I don't know whether or not it's due to moving customer service offshore, but...
