ElDiabloConCaca, I hopped on the computer to get you screen shots, and now everything is working like I would expect. The only thing I did differently between then and now is to repair permissions several times and restart a few more. And, made invisible files visible... then turned then back...

nobody else has an opinion or proposed solution???

When an external HD is attached (USB, FW) the files will not copy to the internal HD using the Finder. There is no error message, the files really do not copy nor do they appear to copy. There is a white NO symbol when the icons are dragged to the internal HD. Yet, they will copy just fine...

Just replaced a HD on a G4 Powerbook, Aluminum, installed OS X 10.4.11.. all is well EXCEPT I can not copy to the HD from another volume (CD, FWHD, USB stick, etc) However, I can use the terminal to cp to the internal HD. Permissions on the internal HD says I should be able to Read and Write...

Squirrel, Applications>Utilities>Audio MIDI Set Up Set the Audio input to 48000.0 Hz I'm guessing that some audio program set it to something different....

Weird thing happened this morning on boot... Links in Safari don't change to a hand on mouse over, scroll bars, no cursor change, the Dock magnifies, but does not allow me to scroll over to another app.. I have to be directly over the app I want to select, my right click on a 2 button mouse quit...

I have a 17' PB 1.67, brand new... had Panther on it and the text smoothing was nice at 9pt Verdana. Installed Tiger and now the same text "appears" to be breaking up... and bold text is too fat.... I tried all sorts of settings combinations with smoothing, color profiles, brightness...

fryke, yes, yes, yes... Apple only has to look at Pathfinder to see what a real Finder should be... I've finally just turned off the Finder and use Pathfinder exclusively, though I really, really want to stay with Apple's interface.. but I've got real work to do and PF allows me to do it...

Along these same lines (I think) is there a quick, easy way to write out .wmv files from iMovie or convert from QuickTime. Quicktime Pro allows me to export to .avi, which WMV will play, but I would rather go to .wmv format. I can also export out to a DV cam and import the finished movie into...

Roland, I had this same kind of issue a few weeks back.. driving me CRAZY! Turned out the DHCP release/refresh was set for 120 minutes on my router... just a thought, might want to check.... G.

We use 15" PowerBooks in a production van (no windows, no open doors..) that has minimal AC during hot summer months for 12-14 hours straight processing large photos of youth events and the fans almost never come on full.. just that first fan level occasionally even though the internal temp...

Can I batch Set Levels with PhotoExpress? Sometimes I need to adjust everything to an something ok-looking for cloudy days or indoors.... Take a look at the TourneyCentral sites (click on events.. go to any event for photos) We Photoshop the ones that get ordered, but we shot over 200,000...

Standards don't matter... market share does.... not saying it is right, just the way it is. Develop for MSIE, but build in nice stuff for browsers that care about standards... and assume that most of your audience will be MSIE... G.
