    nike psa[64 not recognized

I just got my new nike psa[64 a smaller and newer version of the nike psa[play mp3-player. Somehow the older one [play was recognized by iTunes but the new [64 will not either mount in X nor is it recognized by iTunes. Even though the new mp3-player shows up in the Apple System Profiler on the...

    palm m500 and Entourage working

I yesterday bought a palm m500 and found out it is working with no problems at all with my Entourage PIM. I installed the newest Palm-Desktop for OS X, then installed the Microsoft Handheld Sync Conduits (you can get that at mactopia) and it really works great. Pushing the Sync-Button on my...

    Mac Os X Time Problem.

I guess your timeserver is set to the wrong server - set it to the one Hong Kong uses will solve the problem. When you set you timeserver to set the time automatically it will set the time at login. That is when it changes your time to whatever timezone you have set up.

    Dave causes a kernel panic.

Fixes the kernel panic. What I did is reinstall dave without putting in any wins or domains then restarted. After booting up I installed the Update and then configured Dave with the settings appropriate to the NT-Domain I have at work. Seems to work with no problem at all. Even though I am not...

Does anyone know that Dave3.1 conflict w/ Netbarrier X

It's known incompatibility problem of Dave and Netbarrier. Normally removing at least dave solves the problem. To do this you will have to remove the startupitems of dave then restart. After that you will be able to run the installer again and change to uninstall. Everything works fine after...

    Dave causes a kernel panic.

DAVE 3.1 is not compatible to Integos NetBarrier. If you have NetBarrier running DAVE will give you a kernel panic. This is a known bug and they are both working on it. The only workaround is to remove NetBarrier if you want to have DAVE running.

Printing problems solved due to ColorSync!!!!!!!!!

Okay here is one for you!! As a last chance I really checked everything which was different in the set up of my PowerBook 333 which was able to print and my G4 876 which wasn’t. The only different setting was in ColorSync! On my G4 I had set up different separation ICC-Profiles (I am working as...

    Printing Problems

No it is no related to an Airport-Card. It's a regular 100BaseT network and the problem is only with Office vX and FileMakerPro. Textedit does print. I guess it must have something to do with Suitcase 10.1. But I have not figured it out yet.

    Disabling firewall

To stop the firewall from loading on startup open Brickhouse in the Options menu first clear all rules and then check remove startup-items. After that see if the startupitems really are removed. You can see that in /Library/StartupItems. There shouldn’t be a folder called “firewall”. If it is...

How to setup ADSL router & OS X

If you have set up the WAN correctly you will also have to set up the LAN-configuration. Here you will have to give your router a specified IP-address say 192.168.200.1 with a subnetmask set up like 255.255.255.0. It depends on how you want to set up your network either DHCP where your ip...

    Printing Problems

I have some strange printing problems in Office and FileMaker. My G4/876 running 5P48 won’t print to any of my TCP/IP-printers or to AppleTalk-Printers. It will print blank pages from Word though but nothing with any text in it. PrintCentre.app works fine opens shows the progress of the job but...

Anyone knows the TCP/IP Port that AppleShare use?

I guess it is A) TCP. If you use Brickhouse to configure your firewall you have to allow tcp on port 548. Then connections to your X-Machine can be established. I found out that udp has something to do with the ablility to see network machines in the "connect to server"-dialog. If you don't...

Toast for OSX is finally here!

I guess it's that thing with the MMC standard. But you cann read that in the ReadMe that comes with the SCSI Helper. My Yamaha 8424 is finally now supported and even iTunes burnes music CDs. This was not the case with 10.1.1.
