Not true, dialup can carry the voice. I have been in a call with someone and they were using dialup (57,6). Quality was not bad. Skype uses their own codecs and they are great.

Updated through Software Update. Booted fine, no delays. No noticable difference in performance. I do not have filevault on ... could this influence the updates?

It is not a microsoft issue for once ... this time it is a problem of the Mac OS. When I bought and installed this machine I had the choice of Belgium as an international format. It seems you have to click see all formats and choose Belgium (Dutch) and that works. Why did they do it like that?

I am still not seeing my PCs in the network, but I found the way to connect to the shared folders on my PC. smb://name/sharename (all uppercase when using Windows) Anybody out there that has an idea on why the PCs are not showing up in the network view?
