Catalina 10.15.2 on MacBook Pro won't shut down

It is less than a year old as far as I can recall. I already had to take it to a genius bar when I first bought it because there was an issue of it stalling when trying to first install the OS over the internet. They held it for a couple of days and wiped it clean, reinstalled the OS and it was...

Catalina 10.15.2 on MacBook Pro won't shut down

I looked at this but it doesn't really address my issue. It doesn't shutdown on it's own. It is only when I shut it down it restarts on it's own. If I touch ANY key on the keypad or the trackpad it suddenly restarts. I am used to having to touch the POWER ON key, or in the case of the Pro with...

Catalina 10.15.2 on MacBook Pro won't shut down

Each time I try to shut down the MacBook Pro using the apple menu it shuts down but then starts up again immediately. I am not hitting restart by accident. Does anyone else have this issue and a resolution to fix it?

background app refresh switch greyed out. How do I activate it. IOS 13.1.2

Unfortunately it's not the individual apps but the entire "background app refresh" switch is "off' and greyed out and won't respond when I try to switch it to "on".

I am running IOS 13.1.2 on my iPhone 6s. I went to turn some apps refresh ON in the background but the entire thing is switched to off. It is greyed out and won't allow me to turn any apps on to refresh in the background. What is wrong and how can I fix it? I want to turn a few apps on but this...

Mail Is Acting Quirky After Installing El Capitan, Messages Become Invisible

I upgraded to El Capitan from Mt. Lion after a bad experience with Yosemite (my machine ran super slow) and I time machined back to Mt. Lion. El Capitan runs fine except for an odd thing with mail. It all seems fine except after a short time and I've looked at my messages the list is still there...

    Bulk Deleting Email

any way that you cut it you have to hit each individual email to select it for deletion. And you can't do any kind of select all, or touch to slide over all of them to select all like you can on a laptop with the trackpad. I think it is weakness in the design of the IOS Mail and should be fixed...

    Bulk Deleting Email

I would if there was a way to make rules for mail on the iPad. I can only find that on the laptop OS X. It looks like the only way on the iPad is to click each mail marking it as trash and then emptying the trash. That is a very long and arduous process unless you are able to do it as each email...

    Bulk Deleting Email

yes, many days especially on my account that receives more spam than anything else. Nonetheless, it takes so long to delete them one at a time that I just let the mail fill the inbox. I wish there was a way to just empty the mail all at once.

    Bulk Deleting Email

sorry about the double post. I realized I was in the wrong forum the first time. The problem with that method is that it means having to touch every email individually. Right now I have about 300 per day to delete. I'm looking for a "delete all" method. I guess that doesn't exist, no "command-A"...

    Bulk Deleting Email

I find it painful and tedious to delete email on my iPad since it apparently needs to be done one at a time. Is there a way to "select all" and "delete"? I can't seem to find a way to do that. Does anyone have any solution to this?

Mac Mini keeps stopping to work

I have a mini that has 10.5.8 installed. I was away for 6 months so I shut it down. When I turned it back on I got the spinning wheel forever. I kept retrying to boot up with no luck. I was able to then re-install 10.5.4 and upgrade it to 10.5.8 again. I run virtually no programs except for...
