Installer Vise - Files in Package

I have a patch here that is using the Installer Vise software. Basically I want to be able to see what files are in that package. Alternatively I want to be able to see where the files are extracted. My current method is doing an ls -lR Then install the files (The installer doesn't actually...

    help find my printer please

Be warned of serial to usb connectors. Are you absolutely positive that your Deskjet 882c does not have a USB connector? There should be a USB and a Parallel connector. Typically, when you add the printer in the print center, it should show up under USB. “HP DeskJet IP” Is what you might of...

    Got a new printer..

What do you mean by the latest drivers sucking? Are you referring to the 2.1 series drivers? Infact, if your printer does not use postscript, you should remain at the 2.0f driver. 2.0f driver at ftp.hp.com Gimp Print is great, but using the printer to it's fullest potential can best be...

    Renaming file-extention in the terminal?

You should see that the file names contain blanks, hence the error. Has nothing to do with bsd or linux. Now I know what I was doing, previously I was using ls to list the files of a directory, then i'd cat those files. ls would save the \ delimiters, so thats where my error was. Lateron...

    Good Printers?

I think the extra 50$ would be definitly worth it for the 4 types of memory cards you can hook directly up to the printer and print from. Plus you can upload the photos to the computer! Another nice advantage to the 5550/7x50 line printers is you can print in "Reserve mode" which allows you...
