I have tried virtually all combos on my keyboard, and cannot get the cmd-' or cmd-shift-' combo to work. I've tried in OmniWeb and Mail, and neither seems to recognize this. Too bad, I really hate that I have to use the window menu or the finder to change windows, its both annoying and takes...

To bypass the problem of blank icons, be sure to use opt-x to remove the icon you have inserted, then opt-c and opt-v in the new one. I think this is a known bug, dont know why they havent fixed this at apple though, it should be fairly simple to correct..

I have read a couple of places on the web that there is some sort of key combo to switch between the windows of one application (not between applications), but I have never gotten these combos to work. Anyone with any luck here, and if so, what combo is that? Btw, I am using a localized...

If you have not tried it yet, try Space Dock, you find it @ versiontracker I think... Works quite nice, and the upcoming version works even better :) -e

Strange, I use the dual 1Ghz with 1GB mem, hooked onto a 100MB switch, with one server hooked right into the same switch @ 100MB. Still, very poor performance at my part... Any good tools for doing some network disk performance tests in OS X? -e

Sure, I am the admin so I am king of that hill :) But I dont get why you say that SMB isnt a good protocol?! Its efficient enough for most operations, even though it throws bandwith away (litteraly speaking!)... -e

And you still use the standard SMB in OS X? Or do you use Dave or other software to help you around here? Just want to know, so I dont start in the wrong end here... :/ -e

I have several NT/W2K/Samba servers on my LAN, and I can connect to them easily enough from my Mac. However, SMB shares are DOG slow! I cannot even playback media files (mov/mpg/avi's) without stuttering sound and image skipping all the time, even though this works like a charm from Windows...

I have a scanner that is connected to my LAN, and saves the scanned files as separate TIF files on a network share. How can I get these to join into one TIF file, so that it contains multiple pages? I know Windows have a free program (Imaging) that does this, but is there a Mac OS X program...

Does there exist any Psion connection software for OS X? I am the proud owner of a series 5 mx which I wouldnt dare to leave the room without :), but I still have no way of connecting it to my Mac!!... Please help me out here.

Just had to reboot my PowerMac because I could not unmount any diskimages, network drives or CDs anymore. I tried both unmount, hditool -force and disktool, and neither of them was able to remove them. They were all reported in use, even after I logged out and logged back on. Clearly...
