Anytime airport drops off wireless at my work they never reconnect. In the network preferences airport is set to automatic. Is there a way to make the connection persistent?

I have a diskwarrior .dmg image that I wanted to try. I burned it both with Toast and Disk Utility and the disk is not bootable on any machine. The program itself works fine, but will not become bootable. Any tips or hints as to why this would happen?

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do. Are you just trying to access xp shares from the mac? Try shutting off simple file sharing on the XP machine if this is the case. What method are you using to connect to the XP machine. Give some more detail and hopefully I can offer a solution.

Well, this is I think the 4th question I've answered myself here. The updates from Microsoft seemed to fix the problem if anyone else experiences the same thing.

well, I guess nobody has an answer, but I think I solved the problem myself. In the file server there is a setting for authentication with either apple clear text or microsoft.
