    Jaguar Serial Number

On the TFT model it's also cleverly printed on the inside of the CD tray lip (well the flap that comes down when the tray opens). I guess that's so you don't have to boot to the OS to get your serial, hmm when could that be useful :p

    MSN Messenger problems

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this: I can't login to MSN using version 3.0 X anymore. It just times out. Same thing for my friend's house, but all the Windows XP version I have, on my LAN, work just fine. Did Microsoft ban us? I couldn't find anything in the archives for the...

    Jaguar shipping schedule

Do you buy it directly from your universitie's bookstore? I called my local Mac retailer and they said it was the only way for me to get the educational discount (to which I am both entitled and happy to receive, being a poor student ::))

That one doesn't work for me...

iTunes 3 fullscreen viz icon at track info?

I thought that the little iTunes icon that appeared when the track info was displayed in the visualizer was cool. It looks unnatural not to have it there... I had a qucik look through "com.apple.iTunes.plist" and can't find anything I want to touch. Does anyone know if there's a way to get...

    iTunes 3 Framerates

Looks like I spoke too soon. Despite 2 reboots, it looks like the third one did something... I now get wicked frame rates. 35/36 in smooth, and ~80 in rough! Ok, now my rating of itunes 3 is a plus :p

    iTunes 3 Framerates

I don't remember whether it's F or R key, I'm on my XP box now. Press one of those while in the viz.

    iTunes 3 Framerates

Take it off fullscreen mode and turn it on. Where the Burn CD button is, will become an Options rainbow cog. Click that :)

How to set Mail.app as default mail handler?

Don't I feel silly; I new it should have been somewhere around there, but I wasted my time rootlin through plists :) Thanks!

Palm Desktop launches classic on startup?

Yeah i tried that first, and guess what, on my system (perhaps universally) Open With Application is "Not an Option" for SEA files. I click on that item in the list box, and the pane is greyed out with some similar (to "not an option") text where the appication list should be.

Virex vs Norton AntiVirus--which is better?

Which one would you go with and why? We're talking about the new McAffee Virex released with .Mac versus the newest 7.0.1 version of Symantec Norton Anti-Virus.

Palm Desktop launches classic on startup?

Good suggestion, but perhaps I was unclear in my original explaination: I open Palm Desktop (version X BTW), it opens the calendar etc all fine, THEN opens Classic. It seems to be some kind of routine in the application startup. I was thinking it might be trying to access an extension of some...

How to set Mail.app as default mail handler?

I'm sure I saw it somewhere but i just can't find it! I need to set Mail.app to be the default mail handler, since Outlook X took over that, I'd like to revert but can't find that anywhere. Thanks, forgive my idiocy :p

Palm Desktop launches classic on startup?

For some reason, the latest version of Palm Desktop (and it's been the latest for a long time--no recent updates) always launches Classic whenever I open it. What's the deal? Can I stop this?

    .Mac

Despite what I said in my last message, I DO feel that it is overpriced. So I'm #13245 ;)

    .Mac

Ok, well here's my perspective: Nothing lasts forever, and free things last even less. Remember hotmail? That used to be free; now they're downgrading services to people who don't pay. Almost every free service provided by a major company has started free, with the full intention of...

    Finally: RealAudio on OS X!!

It also seems to have a "beta" on the version name :p If it plays RAMs that's all I need. Perhaps you nede to get RealProducer (?) to do that on a Macintosh.

Norton Utilities upped to version 7.0.1, includes Speed Disk native for Mac OS X!

All these updates coming left-right-and centre. I just updated to 7.0.1 to find that the speed disk button isn't greyed out anymore, what a relief. Now Peter has restored my faith in SystemWorks :)
