whenever I try to type in various commands, especially with fink, it says command not found, unless I type "/sw/bin/fink" every time that gets obnoxious, what should I do to fix it? also, when I use finkcommander, it says my download program is not installed. what should I do? I tried...

I downloaded iCal, installed it, and when I double-click on it, it bounces (well, the triangle fades) about 2-3 times, and then it just disappears from the dock and doesn't open!

I seem to remember that testuser (I think it was him) had some threads on enabling ftp only account users. I did a search for "ftp only account" and it returned a little, but nothing I wanted. so I searched for Testuser's posts, and none of them were about that... :confused:

I seem to have corrupted my dock, (I tried to replace the poof by converting an old poof.pdf into a png file for jaguar) and now I can't take stuff out of the dock! so can someone with jaguar email me a copy of dock.app (in /system/library/coreservices/dock.app)? thanks.

take a look at the icon of the dock.app, in /system/library/coreservices/ noticer that the apple is in the middle of the menubar! a la public beta... kinda funny :)

Ok, here is my "predicament" before you vote: I have the speakers that came with my iMac (they are really cool) but they only plug into the speaker-mini-port. so if I ever get an iPod or something, I won't have good speakers for it. Also, I don't know if these speakers are really *that* good...
