    Workgroup manager and firewire volume

The admin account is "administrator", same credential as on the domain administrator in AD. I even created another user name: localadmin and logged in but no Firewire in WGM. I know it can not be that complicated.

Michael, thank you for the prompt response. By now you may have noticed I am a windows admin and absolutely not a Mac person. The task at hand remains the same. The External Firewire RAID array contains about 200GB of files that are accessed by both Macs and Win users. In WGM I can see sevaral...

Share external Firewire RAID in Tiger Server

Hi all, Here is a dumb request. I have a Tiger Server box integrated into a Windows AD and have a RAD Array (Firewire) connected to the Tiger box. When I go to the Workgroup Manager, the firewire volume does not show as shared. How do I share it so I can make it available to MAC and Windows...

Disc I/O error 36 when saving to RAID

Thank for your response. The RAID is healthy. The problem is the RAID is firewire and I could not get it to share. As the last resort I installed sharepoints. I'll be happy to remove it but I need some assistance sharing that volume in OS X Server. (since I am a PC guy..I know...I know...:o )

Disc I/O error 36 when saving to RAID

OK here is my story. Let's get started: We are a PC shop (sorry but it was this way when I got here). We have 2 G5's running tiger in the graphics lab and they are joined Active Directory via directory services in the OS X Utility. We have a G4 running OS X Tiger Server with a FIREWIRE RAID...

Rename files and folders for windows users

Sorry for not being clear enough. I am not moving files to a Windows server. Users have saved their files on local Firewire drives. Since we got the RAID Array we would like to centralize the files by moving them over to the RAID array, which is also a firewire connected to a standalone server...

OS X Tiger Server / Fibrenetix RAID not mounting

Thanks for the reply. The drive mounts fine, but it drops after a few days. I think maybe there is a script I can run to "REGISTER" it somehow. I know I am thinking PC-ish because of the registry. I am just not a unix guy. How can I ensure the drive stays mounted?
