The 1 GHz G4 alone consumes about 21 watts while the 2.2 GHz P4 consumes whopping 66 watts....not kidding.. and it generates so much heat that u can fry some eggs on it... free heat for sure :D :D

That's right 512 is the max for a lombard but for a Pismo is 1 GB...you must be talking about the Pismo. Most say it's 512. I never heard of anyone having 1 GB on a lombard. I don't think it's compatible. Smiles Galen

I just got OS X 10.1.3 running on a 333 MHz lombard. it runs better than people said. Genie effect and all others are pretty good except the window resizing thing. But the performance is sastifory and it's good. I have 256 MB of RAM but will get to other 256 MB soon to max it out at 512 MB...

I have a 333 MHz powerbook G3 lombard bronze keyboard. It would not read the 256 MB module. Instead it only reads 128. That's half less than it is. It should read 256 cuz it's a 256 MB module. I only get total of 192 Mb of RAM instead of 320 with 64 and 256 modules. The 256 is on the top...

I got them for free from a really nice mac guy in RE-PC (computer recycling center) u get seperate jumpers not the whole block so u can configure anyway u want. u can see zillions of them even on hard drives or motherboards or whatever that will fit those pins....good luck on that...

there are few reasons I get stuck using OS 9....NO ivisit for OS X yet for my firewire webcam works in OS X though with special drivers. Other reason is my scanner doesn't cooperate sometimes in OS X with Vuescan application. It's just a old scanner. Of course Photoshop!!!!! I can't wait...

Hey Macsters, I'm wondering if a 512 MB memory module will be compatible with a Blue and white G3 since I heard rumors it works on them. If possible I can go up to 2 GB of memory with 4 512's. I would like to hear if anyone have any luck have them work without any problems thank you. GALEN

nah, I've messed up internal drives many times. Every new hard drive needs to be formatted to Mac, most of them are default to PC. U may need to use special 3rd party driver. I know u won't pay for software that does the formatting and attach 3rd party driver so it'll work as a start up disk...
