LaCie external FireWire HDs are great..I've used one for years without any problems whatsoever..mine is 120gb but they do much larger capacity drives in the sizes you specify..

Just had a look at "leopard' on the Apple website where it states 'Coming Spring 2007'...can this be right..?? They're giving us a look at how wonderful it's going to be but then tell us we'll have to wait 7 - 8 months for it..!!!

Apples iMovie & iDVD are quite some way from being reliable software. If you check the Apple website I'm sure there are forums for users of these apps. There you'll see the endless list of problems & issues users have..iDVD has a habit of chucking it during audio rendering in my experience...
