Tried the PMU button, still the same results. When I look inside the tower after trying to turn it on, all I have is a running fan and a red light on the board. Bad logic board? What is it going to take to fix that?

I've already tried replacing the battery. Are you sure the fan wouldn't run with a bad power supply?

Help! My Powermac G4 will NOT start up. When I press the power button, the light instantly fades out and nothing happens. The fan will run, but that's it. I thought it might need a new 3.6V battery, so I replaced it, but still it won't do anything. Does anyone know what is going on??

Assuming it is a bad battery, could this be fixed simply by purchasing a new one and replacing the old one on the locig board?

WHen I try to start my Power Mac G4, the light on the tower button and on the display both flash on once, then immediately go back out. However, the hard drive sounds like it's spinning for about 15 seconds, then IT quits. The fan runs continuously.... Nothing ever comes up on the screen...

Yeah, somehow the startup disk was unselected. Choosing OS X fixed it. Thanks for the help.

My friend has a very strange problem. He's running an old indigo iMac 500 mhz G3 with 320 RAM and OS 10.3.5. When the computer is turned on, the gray apple logo screen comes up, and that's as far as it ever gets. The spinning wheel below the gray apple logo never even comes up. It just stays...

removed the printer and reinstalled everything for it. now it gets to the 'opening connection to printer' stage, then quits each time.

Since upgrading to 10.2.3, I haven't been able to print from my HP 932c from just about any app. I can get the HP Utility program to print test pages, et c., but it's the only one that will do anything. All oher apps give me an obscure 'Error While Printing' message. HP's website offers driver...

Just had my first crash using the latest nightly build... Tried to click on a link, and BOOM... no more Navigator. Oh, well. It's still better than anything else.

Yes, I still need to use IE for a few things, like previewing pages... but this nightly build is great. Super fast and stable.
