i repair permissions all the time. it doesn't do anything for quicktime. i just use VLC, and i'm very happy with it.

i had the same problem and couldn't fix it. i just downloaded VLC. it's a great program, and you can watch pretty much all videos with it.

sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but i'm having the exact same problem. ebay loads fine (sometimes), but my ebay won't load at all. it's the same for safari, IE, and firefox. this started about 3 days ago, but it fixed itself two nights ago, when my computer froze. then it stopped...

i'm having the same problem, and it says "Contacting my.ebay.com" at the bottom. most other pages load pretty quickly, but my ebay wont even load.

it seems to have partially fixed its self during the night. it works sometimes, but goes pretty slow. ebay still goes really slow, and doesn't work much of the time. EDIT: it's back to doing the same thing again.

i just tried that, but now ebay wont load at all, so i guess that wasn't the problem. this is really frustrating.
