Well I fixed it! With a little help from the paint guy at Home Depot I was able to find an epoxy that not only worked with metal and plastic but was also strong and flexible. I was a little leery but it worked like a charm and the memory clipped in perfectly!
I was playing around and created a computer-to-computer network between my iMac and my TiVo since I have not yet received the Airport base station I mail-ordered. Now I'd like to delete the computer-to-computer network from the list of trusted networks but there doesn't seem to be a way to do...
It's hard to see how even the best glue could hold it given how small the clips are (they can't be more than 2mm wide) and how much spring pressure there is trying to force the memory chip to rotate upwards. WRT to labor costs anything that costs me less than $400 is good! Can't imagine it...
My mother bought a G4 off eBay with an Airport card that I planned on using in my G4. Well in the process of removing the card I snapped off the clips that hold in the RAM. The Apple store told me it would be $400 to repair it! For two tiny small clips that can'h have cost more than a few cents...
Well first of all I'd need a router not a hub unless I wanted to pay Comcast for a second IP. Secondly if you read my earlier post I was trying to avoid having to stick the cable modem, router, Airport express and all the associated cabling behind my stereo. Not having to add a router makes the...
No, it just has a pair of USB ports, to network one you need to buy a USB->Ethernet adaptor. However the Airport Express doesn't have an Ethernet port either and it looks like from what the earlier poster said you can't do USB<->USB networking with it which means one would have to buy a router...
I am thinking about setting up a network with my iMac and TiVo. I am wondering if I could use Airport Express to hook up to the TiVo through the USB adaptor? I could buy a wired router and USB->ethernet adaptor of course but it would be nice to save the extra cables and hardware given the rat's...
iDVD 4 attempts to open the file just fine but once it tries I get a "Can't find theme 'Your Photo Here'" error. The project then displays with the iDVD 4 default theme. The old iDVD 2 themes are not shown on the list of available themes if I try and create a new project either.
Copying the...
I upgraded from iDVD 2 to iDVD 4 and in the process I lost all the iDVD 2 themes. Various people have indicated that iDVD 4 should the iDVD 2 themes but for me they aren't there. The install left iDVD 2 in place but I stupidly deleted it thinking it wasn't needed any more. Now I can't open my...
Is there any way to change the default icon grid spacing in the new Panther finder in icon view? In Jaguar it would put the icons about 7/8" apart while Panther puts almost 1 1/2 inches between icons which means that the finder window has to be almost as wide as the screen to get three columns...
No ideas?
I'm rather surprised that no one has offered up a suggestion on this. I've since tried renaming the OS9 stickies program and moving it (haven't deleted it yet). The fact that moving it doesn't help makes me think it's somehow related to type/creator codes but I'm really in the dark...
