At the end of the rebuilding process disk warrier reports an error (2168) that is "cant rebuild the desktop". And says to rebuild again.The whole process is repeated. I have done it 4 times now. Am i in trouble if I quit out of diskwarrior. Will I be able to restart.

Hi I have an older style imac (CRT slot loader) who's date reverts to 1970 if turned off. I am guessing this is a battery issue. How easy is it to access the battery and is this the likely problem? I havent noticed anyother issues. eg starts ok, prefs seem to be remembered

Hi, I can type chat with a collegue who is on a Hotel broadband connection but voice and video doesnt ever connect.
video and voice works when he is in his office (using VPN)
Is this likely to be a firewall issue and if it is why does the text work and not video.

What about OSX network. How can you assign a network user and their password ( other than creating another account on your computer (would be a nightmare on a large network).
