I'm running OSX 10.3.9 on a Trayloading Imac G3 with 233Mhz, i believe that's an 8 year old system. The things i upgraded are: ram to 288MB, a new 30GB HD and a new case fan for the silence. Granted, i can only run simple apps properly like Word, web browsers, IM software and e-mail clients. But...

Hi, I recently put a new hard drive in my Imac trayloader. I did the OSX install disk and formatted it and the install went fine. But after install it reboots and the screen shows the two faces logo and a question mark blinking. It does not "see" the installation, while i rebooted from the...

Okay, i just removed the jumpers, and it all works fine and dandy!

By the way, the HD jumper setting is set to "Master". I don't know if that has anything to do with it. It's a whole lot of work to get to the HD in this mac, so i can't be bothered to just try it.

I got it working again, i put the HD in my PC and formatted it in there. Now it boots from the CD again thank god. I tried both journaled and HFS+ but the exclanation marks stay there no matter what i do.

Oh, and i also tried without the mouse and keyboard connected... no luck.

Ok, i put a new hard drive in my old trayloading G3. I put in the OS 10.3 cd and ran the setup. It was a 30GB drive that i've used for a bunch of months in a PC. I formatted it and made one partition of 7GB to put OSX on (i did some research first and it learned me that it can't be too big). Ok...

Alright i found the specs and it's exactly the same as a standard 92x92x25 case fan. Is there a guide anywhere on how to replace it cause i took a look at it and it's not something i would touch without knowing what i'm doing.
