I have these entry-level speakers sitting around and I thought it would be a good addition for my iMac. They worked with my 12" PowerBook G4's audio output but it doesn't seem to work with my iMac.
I've seen these optical audio outputs before. Sorry if it's such an audiophile noob question...
I'm no moderator but this isn't a rumor and shouldn't it be posted in the cafe section of the forums?
I'll give mine anyway:

...
I'm gonna go on a limb here...
I can't imagine a kid listening to an iPod. Hence, they get the mini. It would be more appropriate to see a kid with a mini. Let's leave the big ones to the grown-ups. :-)
Just like macgeek here said. To expand the market and capture more market.
That is directly from this link: http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html
I guess I misread. I kinda jumped the gun there. If I were to store my PowerBook and not use for 2-3 months time, then I remove the battery. Sorry all.
Why would I want to do that anyway - I can't be away from...
I recently read this additional info page that Apple put up. Interesting read. http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html
I find myself to be using my PowerBook on my desk all the time. If I were to take out the battery, is there a cover that I can purchase to fully encase the bottom?
