changed router ip to 192.168.0.0 - can't see it anymore!!

Actually this router's default is 192.168.1.1. But I used it for months with 192.168.0.1, because when I was beating my head trying to set up DSL at my old house I picked up in some forum to try changing the router IP to 192.168.0.1 and when I did, all was well. I now suspect that the reason...

changed router ip to 192.168.0.0 - can't see it anymore!!

TiBook running 10.3.4 I'm trying to set up my Linksys BEFW11S4 wireless router with my new DSL modem. The router was set up with IP of 192.168.0.1, but so was the new DSL modem so I thought I'd change the router IP back to the default IP, via the web interface. Unfortunately I changed the...

    RAM compatibility, iMac 333

putting the chips in is a little difficult, i have to send them to him and he doesn't necessarily know how to do it, seems worth trying to sort out if they will work but I see your point. I attached an image of the RAM, hope it is here?

    RAM compatibility, iMac 333

Great, thanks! So it is worth sending them tom hi. But about whether or not they will be seen as 256, where might I get "the exact specifications" from? There are little labels on the chips (I'm looking at 'em right now ...), would you or someone know from that, or can I look it up somewhere?

    Wireless router/access point recommendation?

I have a Linksys BEFW11S4 wireless router. I was really annoyed at first when I discovered it will not pass AppleTalk packets over the wireless. I'm over that now, but if you use older equipment keep the AT issue in mind, I know Asante is great for AT. Otherwise, the Linksys has been great.

    RAM compatibility, iMac 333

My brother picked up an old iMac ("5 flavors" 1999, 333 MHz, 32 MB RAM still running 8.5) and wants to add some RAM and run it as a websurf-email machine. I'm wondering if the two, factory 256 MB chips that I removed from my TiBook (DVI) will work in the iMac? If so, then I'll mail them to...

Help with Netscape priting issue - how to turn off header and footer when printing.

I messed around (unsuccessfully) with this a bit, you can probably get there from here but not sure: start with this link and then a solution for properly rebuilding the .jar file in the Terminal (corrects the mistakes in the last link's methods) is shown here up to you to make it...

    Print Preview Issues

This fix is easy, will do what you want and give you many more options: When you open the print dialog box, the button on the left opens a pdf in Preview, the button on the right lists a drop-down menu with default choices like "Save as ...". You can easily add any application (or AppleScript...

How to modify "Open With..." list of the context menu?

I'm guessing that those app are stored in your Finder preferences file. You can harmlessly delete this file CALLED com.apple.finder.plist, see if it solves your problem; it can be found at: Users > yourname > Library > Preferences > com.apple.finder.plist if that doesn't do it, try...

    Where is the Finder?

Of course ... but why did they just start with Panther? exactly what I was looking for, thank you very much Actually 'open /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder" works just fine. But while I'm wrecking my system, where can I look to find out my $PATH anyway? just trying to educate myself...

    show me the PATH

running 10.3.2 I ran a package installer and now my PATH is amiss. e.g. this from the Terminal: Albatross2:~ erikv$ man ls No manual entry for ls here are the contents of /private/etc/profile, I think you'll ask for that: # System-wide .profile for sh(1)...
