i have a Mac pro, Running 10.6.8 for my search engine. Today, all of a sudden, a circled #1 appeared on my Google Desktop Icon. What is this for? I'm a dummy when it comes to something like this.

I accidentally set my violin music book on my keyboard instead of behind it while practicing, and it somehow caused the name of one of my folders to disappear, leaving a double row of slashes where the name was. How can I put the name of the folder back? I have a Mac Pro, Running 10.6.8

This is an older version. Photoshop Elements 2. for Mac. I currently have Photoshop Elements 6, Which I don't care for very much. I really miss my old Photoshop Elements 2, and wish there was some way to have it in my Mac Pro. Thanks for your reply.

Well, Maybe I exaggerated a little bit, but there is definitely a pick up in the speed. You might be right, it could have been the restart. Whichever it is, I hope it stays there. Thanks.

I installed update 10.6.3 about an hour ago. My computer seems to be about twenty percent faster than before. Have any of you experienced this, or is it just my imagination? I have a Mac Pro 2x2.66.

I have had the same problem. When booting from the startup disc of the installed program, I had to hold the C key down for a good five minutes before it booted up to where I could go to utilities for disc repair. Unfortunately, my disc could not be repaired, and I ended up erasing and...

Thanks, djackmac. I was just wondering. After running the check, and receiving the message, my computer would not shut down. I finally killed it with the startup button. Then the computer would not boot. I tried about every method known, and ended up having to erase and re-install.
