I have a few Macs in my condo, and I'm able to connect between all of them with Screen Sharing/Remote Management with no problem. I recently bought a Mac Mini Server to use as a HTPC/Server with OSX Server installed. I can connect to any of my other computers FROM the server with Screen...
My last laptop was a 17" 2.4 GHz Macbook Pro which just died when it fell out of a bag I was putting on a shelf. I just bought a new Unibody 17" with the same amount of RAM (4GB) and it seems noticeably less responsive to me. The new unibody has a 5400RPM HD compared to my old one which had a...
I have had 3.0 installed for a few days, and last night an icon showed up in the upper right corner that I haven't seen before. What is it? Never saw it on 2.0.
So I have an AVI file that won't even load in quicktime, but it plays fine in VLC and MPlayer. As far as I can tell neither of these programs let you adjust the color, contrast or brightness of the file. Does anyone know of a program that will allow me to do this?
My MacMini has the 9400M GPU in it and currently has 1GB of RAM. With 1GB of RAM the 9400M shares 128MB of the system memory - with anything more than 1 GB it uses 256MB (I am upgrading to 4GB of RAM). My MBP has the 8600M GT chip in it with 256MB of memory and 4GB of RAM. I'm just wondering...
Both have 256 MB memory, but which is faster? I have the 8600M in my MBP and the 9400M (currently with 128MB memory, but will have 256MB once I upgrade to more ram).
CBS.com launched the ability to play 1080p shows streaming from online. I have been trying to watch them with my Mac Mini, but even after I leave it buffering for a while, the movies are still choppy. It plays fine on my 2.4ghz MacBook Pro. Is there anyway to make this stop being laggy? I'm...
So I got 1080p to display on my plasma. The only problem I have is that when I try to run iTunes visualizers (any) it switches to 1080i. When I stop the visualizer the computer goes back to displaying 1080p. Anyone know a way to keep it on 1080p all the time?
I have a plasma I'm trying to hook a Mac Mini up to. I am using a Mini-DVI to DVI adapter, and then a DVI to VGA adapter to hook up to it. The TV isn't getting a signal though. Will this setup work, or are there too many adapters?
