Checking my processes, I see photoshop is listing 1.5 Gb as a virtual size, and I don't have anything open in it now. Would that be a symptom of my performance? Keeping in mind I only have 1 Gig RAM (didn't expect to ever say that)
Processes: 56 total, 2 running, 54 sleeping... 190 threads...
I have to say I definetly notice a slow-down. Coming from a 933 G4 1 Gig RAM with PS7, to a Core2 Dou iMac 2.16 1 Gig RAM with CS2. I have noticed it takes forever to swap over to Photoshop when I have anything in my paste-board. Looking at the benchmarks, my CS2 seems to run slower. But I did...
Shouldn't be that hard in Photoshop. Open up the channels tab. Go to your 1st greyscale image select all and copy. Click on the Red channel in PS and paste. Repeat for green and blue.
I recently got a 20" iMac 2.16 GHz Core 2 Dou.
At first, I was impressed with it, but lately I'm seeing the spinning beachball way too much.
I upgraded from Photoshop 7 to Adobe CS2 - and It just seems to run slower.
Anyone notice this?
Particulary when I'm shutting down, swapping from app...
try and boot from your install disk
put it in the dvd / cd drive and hold down C while it boots up
See if the same thing happens.
You may need to re-install the system.
I don't remember if there are any disk tools on the install disks, but if so try them to diagnose the problem
O.k. I found the problem.. I think
I downloaded the latest iPod Update - and now it mounts.
But it still took me 3 or 4 times of plugging and disconnecting.
I am getting pretty pissed with this iPod Shuffle!
Its just plain quirky. Last week I tried plugging it into my G4 USB on the keyboard and out back. No Dice. I rebooted. Nuthin
Then I plugged it into the keyboard USB. Then it worked.
Now again it won't mount anywhere. I've rebooted and tried...
Powerpoint only allows you to have 2 masters - the Title and the remainder.
After you define these 2, the slide layout options are based on them. I don't think you can edit the individual options.
You need to save as .ico format. I use Iconographer to create them. The file contains multiple resolutions and bit depth images i.e. 128x128, 48x48, 32x32, 16x16 in 32 bits, 8 bits, 4 bits, 1 bit
etc
I just upgraded from 10.3 to 10.4
All's well except I can't set my .pic files to open with a specific app (Photosphere)
I Get Info on a .pic file
Set it to open with Photosphere
I click Change All
get the warning and accept the change
Now that file is reverted to open with Preview...
Since I've updated from 10.3.8 to 10.3.9, I have not been able to start Classic from OSX. It gets 99% of the way and hangs. Though the Terminal, I type "top" and find that at times TrueBlue (or whatever that process is called) takes up to 300% of resources!
I can boot directly into OS 9.2 by...
I built it on a mac, and exported a PC standalone projector. It happens on my 933 G4 as well as a number of desktop and laptop PCs. I suspect it is related to the size. but unfortunately I need it to be that size to accomodate screenshots. (the Movie is a demo of our software) If I shrink it...
