Well, it fixed itself. I just did what I normally do with the computer for a couple of days and software update just started working again...weird. I didn't repair permissions or anything, which I was about to do. Oh well. Thanks anyway guys!

Dual 1 ghz G4. I did an archive and install. Doesn't an archive install still install a clean system folder?

I'm still running 10.2. I reinstalled the system (bad idea to begin with) while I was . . . not in the right state of mind. Now, software update fails to connect whenever I try to update the system. I've tried downloading the 10.2.8 combo, but it failed to install as well. Is it just me?

I'm rendering a 3 minute movie and it's taking FOREVER. On top of that, while rendering, it gets almost done, then FCE unexpectedly quits out. Same thing happens when I try to just export the movie. I have a dual 1 ghz G4 tower with 1 gb of RAM and 80 gb of free space. What's going wrong here?

I have Reason and use it extensively. The problem is that I *could* mix the tracks together, but 1) getting the tempo right is VERY hard to do, not to mention the pitch, and 2) it doesn't have CD track markers, so I couldn't burn to a CD and expect it to burn seperate tracks off. Peak has...

What's a good DJ mixing program? I've found several that are more for live-based mixing, but I want to burn my mixes to a CD. I'm looking for something like MixMeister. Anyone know of something?
