Well, it fixed itself. I just did what I normally do with the computer for a couple of days and software update just started working again...weird. I didn't repair permissions or anything, which I was about to do. Oh well. Thanks anyway guys!

Dual 1 ghz G4. I did an archive and install. Doesn't an archive install still install a clean system folder?

I'm still running 10.2. I reinstalled the system (bad idea to begin with) while I was . . . not in the right state of mind. Now, software update fails to connect whenever I try to update the system. I've tried downloading the 10.2.8 combo, but it failed to install as well. Is it just me?

I'm rendering a 3 minute movie and it's taking FOREVER. On top of that, while rendering, it gets almost done, then FCE unexpectedly quits out. Same thing happens when I try to just export the movie. I have a dual 1 ghz G4 tower with 1 gb of RAM and 80 gb of free space. What's going wrong here?

Ugh . . . tried Keychain First Aid, and maybe there's nothing I can do about this, but everytime I launch iChat, Keychain prompts me for my password, and whenever I send or receive mail using "Mail", it prompts me again. Everytime, and it's getting really annoying. Sorry if this is a repost.
