This has come up out of nowhere, but for some reason whenever my battery reaches say 70%, or 64%, or something random like that, my MacBook Pro will instantly turn off. No sleeping, no warning, just instant off. It will then not turn on unless I plug it into a power source. Now it will work...

A few times I've had the Finder hang on me for a minute or so when copying lots of files across from my external hard disk, then after a long wait it finally woke up. Have you tried leaving your Mac for a good 5-10 minutes? That might be just what you need...if not, I guess it's time to start up...

Mine must really need calibration, because once I let it get to 0%, it was forced to sleep, and it remained in the sleep mode for over 3 days! And it was STILL alive!

You'll have to purchase the 32-bit of Leopard, mail the disc to Apple along with a small fee, and then wait for them to mail you back a 64-bit disc. ...oh wait, that's Vista.

I agree with Fryke, I'll definitely be going for the clean install. I haven't formatted my MacBook Pro once since I got it last December, so I'm thinking once I back up everything I need a total clean install of the OS and reinstallation of the apps is the best way to go. Better in the long run...

Pretty sure you need a 867MHz G4 or better to run it. I'm really concerned, are they gonna have this ready in two weeks?

I suggest backing up your computer, wiping it clean, installing Tiger again, then wait a few more weeks for Leopard and buy a proper copy.
