Cheers guys... I just backed up my /user/music folder and it did the trick. Don't have a .Mac account so no iDisk for me - couldn't justify the fee. Thanks

What file do I need to backup to retain my iTunes playlists. In the past I've just copied my iTunes music folder, but that just backs up MP3's and not all my playlists. Is it simply just the iTunes preference files??

Me too.... I installed it (7A179) on my smaller partition but then used that one as my main OS. I've upgraded every version with no probs. Every time I upgrade I've done a complete wipe and clean install.

Ok, I got round this by giving them all a general 'comment' and then creating a playlist with that. Another problem now is that one of the main reasons I needed a smart playlist was that my girlfriend and I both listen to different music, and she's always complaining about my s*** music, so...

Hi there, I would like to create a smart playlist in itunes based only on genres. I would like a total of 4 different genres listed, but any more than 1 and they conflict giving me an empty playlist. Anybody know a way round this?? Thx in advance :)

I too had this problem. I think it had something to do with Carracho. Do you have Carracho, Hotline or any other p2p software running?

I put this in my StartUp Items folder for my Panther drive and my connection slowed right down, almost to a standstill. It was like being on dial up again! I deleted it, restarted and now I'm flying again. This little 'app' worked just great in 10.1 and Jaguar, just not Panther (yet?). Anyone...

No, I don't care too much for saving mail but I've already lost all my girlfriends mail once before, and daredn't do it again!! You know what they're like..... :)
