Go to www.versiontracker.com and download a program called "VLC". Wonderful little program that can play almost any (non-proprietary) video format you can throw at it.

Just so you know, AIM has a HORRID system for file sharing. A firewall will make it near impossible to connect with people. It may even be the Airport causing the problems. Check to see if either you, or the person sending you the file is firewalled, and if one is, try removing it. Hope it...

How would you go about editing DivX/AVI files?

Why even upgrade? That sounds like it would be fast enough, unless you want dual processors or something.

Is there a way to change the way the desktop icons are pinned? IE: Have them line up on the side like Windoze, or have them arrange vertically below the menu bar. Is there a Unix command that might do this for me, or maybe a piece of software?

If the machine you're using is the one in your sig, you're using a pretty old machine. Updating the firmware may help, also try installing OS 9.2(it should come with OS X). Of course, your best bet would be to get a new machine. ;)

Well, downloading anime can fill it up rather quickly. ^_^ But yeah, I saw that Apple Knowlege Base article about the TiBook, but it didn't seem like it would work on this. I'm also kind of wary of messing with the screws on it withough knowing what i'm doing.

Is there a way to replace the hard drive in the new 12 Inch Powerbook G4? The 40 Gig is getting too small and I need a new one. If I can upgrade it, what kind do I need to get and how much would it cost me?
