    Is it possible to simulate typing using AppleScript?

    I want to be able to fill out a form on a web page and I can't use autofill because the form is within a Flash applet/object/thingy. Can this be done using AppleScript? All it needs to do is: - type a word - press the tab key - type another word - press the tab key etc. Any ideas...

    iSync: annoying problem

    Lately, whenever iSync does it's hourly sync to my .Mac account (the arrows rotate in the menu bar) it opens the full iSync app when it's finished - there are no error messages and the sync seems to be successful. Can anyone tell me how to stop this, please? I'm using OS X 10.3.5 on a G4 iMac.

    D-Link DSL-300T -> Pipex UK

    Just taken delivery of a second-hand D-Link DSL-300T ethernet modem because I was getting cheesed of with my Alcatel SpeedTouch 330 USB modem, but I'm having trouble setting it up. I'm entering all the correct details on the modem configuration screens but it just won't connect. I'm slowly...

    "Save as" for entire website

    Is there a program or utility that will let me save all the images and web pages from an entire site? I know in IE there's a "Save as" option that will follow internal links and save the connecting pages, but it stores it all in a single file. Basically, I need to recreate a website on...

    iPod Mini: should I?

    The lovely iPod Mini is finally available for pre-ordering over here (UK) but while I know I'm going to get one at some point, I'm not sure whether or not to wait. While 4Gb is plenty of space for my needs, I'd hate to buy one only to see a new bigger, better, faster (more!) version get released...

    Airport Express / Printer question

    Can I connect any printer to an Airport Express thingy or does the printer have to be a specific "network" type printer? I currently have a HP PSC 2175 All-In-One, and while I understand that using the scanner component would be a "No-no", would it still print?

    Safari shutdown takes an age

    Every now and again when I quit Safari I get the old spinning beach ball and it seems to take Safari and age to actually go - at least 30 seconds and sometimes up to 2 minutes. During this time, hard disk activity ranges from manic to none. Is there a problem and, if so, how can I fix it?

    Buying more memory

    I have a 17" flat panel iMac which is currently running on 256Mb of PC2700 DDR333 RAM. I'm looking to add an extra 512Mb and have found what I need on the Apple store for £160 and also at SMC Direct (Kingston part number KTA-PBG4333/512) for £90. Obviously I'd much rather buy the cheaper...

    Backing up too much data?

    I use Backup to copy my most important data to my iDisk folder and I also use iSync to synch my bookmarks, address book and calendars. Do I need to backup up my address book using Backup if I'm iSync-ing it too? Isn't that just doubling up the data and wasting space on my iDisk? Also, does...

    Alias to a file located on an FTP server

    Not sure if this is in the right forum ... On my website, I use server side includes to add the content of various text files to my pages, several of which tell people the last CD I bought, the last thing I saw at the cinema etc. Is there any way I can have aliases to these text files -...
