[HOWTO] - Share iTunes Libraries on the same computer

Does anyone know if setting up iTunes like this would change your settings for the iTunes Music Store? Where are those files kept anyway? It would be nice to share the same aliased music folder but still have seperate credit card accounts on iTMS. Grover

No Web connection in OS X; fine in 9 & Classic!

So about 4 days ago, my internet connection (Cable) went dead in OS X. I checked the normal things like refreshing the IP address, rebooting the computer and the modem but nothing works. I hadn't changed any settings or installed any new software - it just went out without warning. AT&T (ugh!)...

10.2: iMac Geometry resetting to default

Anybody have any ideas on this? It's really starting to annoy her! Thanks :)

10.2: iMac Geometry resetting to default

My girlfriend has a Rev B iMac and just installed 10.2. After each restart, the screen resets to the default settings which squishes the screen about 1/2" on all sides! She had this problem with 10.0, but it was fixed in 10.1. Now it's back! I've seen other people have this problem too, but I...

    Please, need help...

Did anyone ever find a solution to this? My girlfriend's iMac is constantly changing screen geometries (back to default) every time she restarts! Very annoying.

OS 10.2: Installer won't recognize HD!

It worked! Unplugging the FireWire drive fixed it. Thanks, guys!

    Applemail

As a follow-up, this might help: http://www.apple.com/switch/howto/pc/email.html It looks like Apple's Address Book only covers Outlook Express [of the Microsoft products]. Apparently, Outlook and Outlook Express handle things differently, so I'm not sure whether you could transfer your...

    Applemail

I'm using Outlook on Windows 2000 at work right now. The following is a way to do it, but it might not be the best way. If you can't figure out a way to export them all, you can at least go to the "Actions" menu, then "Forward as vCard" and do them one at a time. This will put your contact as...

    The Jaguar Bugs Thread

My girlfriend has been having this problem. It happened before when she first got OS X, but the problem was fixed with 10.1. And now it's back! Any suggestions?

OS 10.2: Installer won't recognize HD!

Ah, good point! I do have an external FireWire drive still hooked in... That sounds like that might do the trick. I was also thinking of putting my SCSI card back in - I had removed Apple's card when OS X wouldn't let my computer go to sleep. But, I kinda don't think that will do much. We'll...

OS 10.2: Installer won't recognize HD!

The wierd thing is that I'm not even getting the greyed out hard drive images - it's absolutely white. Nothing is clicking or humming away, so it doesn't seem like it's even trying to look for it. I guess I can try reformatting, but I'll use it as a last resort.

OS 10.2: Installer won't recognize HD!

So, I just tried installing OS X 10.2. Everything is fine until I reach the Destination screen where nothing appears where my Hard Drive should be. It stays white and the Continue button is greyed out. I've waited a while to see if it eventually appears, but it doesn't. I have a G4/450 AGP...

Finder CD Burning - Disc to Disc?

That works fine for MP3 files, but to copy the exact data from an audio CD to a CD-R doesn't work through iTunes (not that I've found). I was tempted to convert everything to MP3, then burn to disc, but that's way more work than it should be. Thanks for the help, though! Grover

Finder CD Burning - Disc to Disc?

After downloading 10.1, the new Disc Burning in the Finder works pretty well. You can move files onto it, then, when you're ready, you can click Burn and forget about it. But with burning Audio CD's, I'm having more trouble. When I insert a new CD-R, it asks whether it should be Prepared as a...

Later on that same support page, however, Epson writes: "We hope to offer OS X version 10.1 drivers for the EPSON Stylus Color 740, 760, 860, 777, 880, 900, 900N, 980 and 980N, as well as the EPSON Stylus Photo 870, 875DC, 1270, 2000P, 780, 785EPX, 890 and 1280, including future products...

Epson Stylus Photo 750 Support in OS X

Epson has been really bad about posting announcements as to their progress on updating their printer drivers. However, they posted a new OS X support page (about a month ago - how did I miss it?): http://support.epson.com/webadvice/wa0301.html It lists a whole bunch of printer drivers...

    I [Apple] New York!

Did anyone go to the recent MacWorld Expo in New York and happen to pick up too many of those "I [Apple] New York" buttons? If so, let me know, because I'd love to get my hands on a couple. I might even send you a buck or two! Thanks, Andy :)

    Give me back my Permissions!

Well, it's not just any file from the Desktop or directory, it's only certain files. I have the computer set up so I am the admin, and it boots me up every time. However, sometimes, I'll try to delete a file that belongs to the "wheel" or "www" group (all of these groups are listed in the...

    Epson Printers

Here is Epson's driver support page for Mac OS X: http://support.epson.com/webadvice/wa0301.html It lists the printers that are supported (and of course, mine is not!) I can still print when booted into Classic, though. Grover
