I'm sure that I used to be able to change the time (and check it as well) on my networked i&emacs from my administrator mac... I use Remote Desktop but can't seem to find anywhere where I can do this... am I looking in the wrong places?

Hi CC... have tried deleting the printer prefs it doesn't change anything... also trimmed the printers to 2 available... no change... so have attached the 3 logs... 1 for user mw is the AppleWorks log, the other 2 are for user tg and are both the AppleWorks and FirstClass Client logs... thanks...

without posting the entire log, it appears to be Thread 0 that is crashing... lines 5 through 8 reference printer info... line 5 ...e.print.framework.PrintCare 0x91739c1c CPLSetDefaultPrinterName + 0x44 line 6 through 8 all reference MCXPrintSetup I understand that AW might look to the printer...

Hi Potato... don't think it has anything to do with Flash... more to do with individual user settings than anything else... ie... we have same problem here with two users on one mac... neither Appleworks nor First Class will open for them on this mac... but it will for lots of other users...

thanks for the advice... but why do only certain files get affected... I think you may be right about the OS9 to OSX thing and the resource forks... my daughter tried to copy a game over to a USB eDisk and when she opened the key on the OSX Mac the game appeared as a terminal file as well...

Buddy of mine has had a new problem crop up... he has 9.2 at home and has had no problem in the past transferring files via his usb eDisk to our 10.3.5 macs at work... now when he drags his AW files across and tries to open them at work, they all appear as UNIX files and can't be opened in AW...

Hi... not an expert by any means, but our older G4 server was doing the same thing very frequently until I turned off auto-updates... happens very seldom now... but it seemed to do an auto rebot after something froze... bad memory may point to times when Activity Monitor was left open...
