PCMCIA - PC card on X?

Cool. I was planning to do this myself when my Holux CF GPS card gets here. I was curious to see if that would work. This gives me new hope. I already have the CF-to-PCMCIA adapter for my CF memory on my digital camera. My Holux should be here Monday! :) -Alex

Apple has made a TV capture device or something (proof from Apple's website)

Well, I wasn't impressed by the picture. I'm not sure where the TV tuner comes into play... but for importing video (or just having a DV input), I went with the Sony Media Converter. It can import and export video with on-the-fly conversion. And it's Firewire. Quite handy. Cheers, -Alex _

Macko: LOL! Hahahaha! That was funny. :)

10.1.2 and Mocrotech USB Smartmedia Reader?

Ummm.... what was the point of this link? Nothing on that Google search seemed relevant. The term "snapshot" was usually referring to a build point, not the Microtech Snapshot IntelliCable. Did I miss something? -Alex

10.1.2 and Mocrotech USB Smartmedia Reader?

Reviews on Version Tracker about the driver seem to clearly indicate the driver is not compatible with 10.1.2. People with 10.1.1 have it working. Those with 10.1.2 don't. Joy! I guess we wait another couple months! I certainly hope they get their ass in gear and get these drivers...

    Mozilla 0.9.7

I actually had to step back to 0.9.6. Forms are not displaying correctly, in the least. One page I have gets pretty messed up. Many forms don't display the text fields at all. And also when a pop-up login prompt comes up, the fields are really small (2-3 pixels high). I tried the...

10.1.2 and Mocrotech USB Smartmedia Reader?

I had my Smartmedia reader working... for about 4 days. I just realized that they released drivers for OS X. I installed them. And poof, my card reader was working. I have the Microtech Snapshot USB Smartmedia card reader. Well, I recently installed the OS X 10.1.2 update. And now I...

    Mozilla 0.9.7

You wanna know what I'm finally excited about? Flash! In the last version of Mozilla that I had installed (forget if it was 0.9.6 or nightly build after that), all Flash would be about 1/4 the size it was supposed to be , if not smaller. That was REALLY annoying. I don't know if any others...

    Microtech CameraMate

They recently released drivers for their USB adapters for OS X. I had it working for a few days, but today noticed it's not working anymore. I am suspecting that the 10.1.2 update I did caused it, but am not sure... still waiting on feed back from Microtech. -Alex

CompactFlash reader, pref. Firewire, for OS X?

I recently got the drivers from Microtech for their Smartmedia reader. According to their support forums, the CF reader is now supported by 10.1.2's latest updates with no drivers needed. Is this true? Oddly, I think the 10.1.2 update broke the drivers for the Smartmedia adapter. -Alex

10.1.2 and Microtech USB Snapshot (SM) Adapter?

Does anyone else have a Microtech Snapshot smartmedia adapter? I had it working just a few days ago, with the new drivers they released. But recently, I updated OS X to 10.1.2. And today, I noticed that my SmartMedia adapter isn't working. I get the following lines in my system.log when...

    OS X 10.1 and webcam?

I had been waiting for something to make my camera work. I saw several people post saying that their Firewire Pyro webcams worked in OS X. Well, I went out and got one. And gues what... IT DIDN'T WORK! heh. Well, I was annoyed, but figured that drivers would eventually come out. Well...

    Burning DATA CDs

Actually, that's true. You can do a multi-session recording, but my point was that it's not at all like a normal file system, where you can format and then copy files. You still have to prepare the track for each session. And to my knowledge, with CDRW's, you need to still blank the whole...

    Burning DATA CDs

    > I want to be able to insert a Blank CD-R, format it [quickly], > copy a load of files to it, eject it, put it into another machine > [mac/unix/win], & read the files. I don't know how familiar you are with burning data disks... but you can't preformat it, and copy files to it like a...
