Someone has this same problem, as soon as he logs in the desktop start to zoom in and he can do nothing! There's only one account at that machine so it's not possible to log in as another user. Shortcut for disabling zoom 'alt-command-8' doesn't work either anymore. Does someone knows a trick...

that's what I say, being logged in as root, I cannot move all files! First found out when I tried to move an AutoCatalog directory (catalogs cd/dvd back-ups). There was one file in it which I could not copy to another drive...
