    Terminal font

I'm looking for a good font for the Terminal app. I don't think Monaco or any of the other fonts Apple provides are good enough. I'm looking for a font like the "Terminal"-font that is just in i.e. Yellow Dog Linux' command line/terminal by default. Does anyone know where I can get that font...

    Congrats to nkuvu!

I don't mind people talking :) (or arguing), but I find it rude when people interrupt when I'm trying to say something; all the time. After a while they just get on my nerves.. But then again, not everybody fits together in a friendship (/realationship), and that's just they way it is. Kris

    Congrats to nkuvu!

I have thought about your questions nkuvu, and my "conclusion" is that he's not nice. - At least not nice enough. But his benefit is his way of talking. Scary. Kris

    Macintosh Clasisc

MacWiz; I would check out www.apple-history.com if I were you. They'll give you a lot of information about your specific Mac. Perhaps that'll help.. Was that technology invented back then? But take good care of it no matter what you do. :) I've heard two horror-stories of what people have...

    The faster browser is…

I'm loyal to Opera. :) I've tried most of the other browsers, at least the ones mentioned here, but I have found Opera to be the fastest. Not even Chimera can beat it. Opera also looks good, and draws the pages smooth and nicely. Kris

    Congrats to nkuvu!

I read through some of my older posts in this thread, and discouvered that I had written something wrong about the Eddas. The youngest is also called Snorre-Edda, not the eldest (I have corrected it now). Anyway. I'm no expert on the Edda, but what I know is that most of the Elder Edda is...

    Congrats to nkuvu!

I think you should read the story of the battle at Stiklestad, Norway. When Christianity came to the Norse countries, they built monasteries. In other words they brought with them the latin alphabeth and more complex arts of writing. More people learned to read and write. This layed the...

    Annyoing renaming, also in Jaguar?

I tried what you suggested, but it's not like Classic at all. Another problem is the fact that you can't see the cursor when you're moving it with the arrows. I wonder how it's possible to make such a good feature so bad, - so suddenly.. Oh well, I suppose Apple will fix it soon. :) Kris

    Annyoing renaming, also in Jaguar?

Ok, there's something in OSX that drives me mad. When I want to rename a file, I click on it and expect the blinking cursor to show up. It does, after at least two clicks. The problem is that it often dissapears at once, so I have to click at least two more times. This is extremely annoying if...

    Congrats to nkuvu!

I'd prefer not to say.. :p The main-reason for the converting was compulsion. Churches were build on old sacred places, and you could be killed if you didn't follow the new rules. In the begining the Christianity was mixed with the old religion, and the fact the church had saints at that time...

    Congrats to nkuvu!

The reason for my question, was not to rag on your spelling. :p I suddenly started to wonder if it was written that way in English. [/b] Oooh! :) That's an interesting topic, actually. - What would have happend to the Norse contries if the Christianity hadn't come? (Though it was just a matter...

    Congrats to nkuvu!

Honestly; This makes me really sad. Norse litterature is part of the history to every european, - and therefore an important part of the American history too. (How can you now who you are, if you don't now your history?) Here where I live, the Norse litterature is something one have to know to...

    DivX problems

I don't know honestly. vLc plays the two first seconds, and then it crashes. It's not possible to move foreward in the movie either, by click pause first and then chose a random picture.. Kris

    DivX problems

Thanks everyone! :) VideoLAN (vlc) is the only application that even starts to read the movie. None of the others worked. does that mean there's something wrong with the file? Kris

    Congrats to nkuvu!

Well said Ed! :) Have you read a lot of the Elder Edda, Ed? Read some from Hávamál, or the Younger Edda in general? (I must admitt I have read way too little of both, especially the Elder.) Do you know if Norse litterature a part of the American curriculum? Kris

    DivX problems

I'v got a DivX movie which I'd like to see. The movie thinks it's an .avi movie, which is ok (I suppose). This of course, makes QucikTime think it's a QT file. I have tried several DivX-players, but none works correctly and now I'm starting to believe there's something wrone with the file...

    Congrats to nkuvu!

Sorry, nkuvu, I suddenly got a million things to do yesterday, but I'll explain about Edda now. :) It exists two Edda; The Elder Edda and the Younger Edda. The youngest is also called Snorre-Edda, and it got it's name because it's a lot like the Elder Edda. As you probably know Snorre...

    Newbie request

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but why sholdn't one start with PHP or Perl? PHP is object-oriented, right?, and uses some of the same concepts as i.e. Java. I was once told programming PHP would give you the same concepts of OOP as Java. Isn't that correct? Back to the ogininal topic: Mac...

    Congrats to nkuvu!

Edda is excellent! :) Is Edda well know to Americans? Perhaps I'm narrowminded, but I never thought it was. Kris
