Let's say I have a thousand songs in a folder and I want to make a text file listing them. I do NOT want to copy the songs themselves, just the titles. Anyone know a way? Thanks

My E71 has never really gotten along with my Mac but I was satisfied if I could sync contacts and calendars. As of this AM I can no longer. The only thing I can think of that's changed since my last sync is going from 10.7 to 10.7.1. Any info will be appreciated.

I want to put my images, now stored in iPhoto, on a media server. When I search for the jpegs all I see in "iPhoto library" is an icon. Yes, double clicking same gets me to see them in iPhoto but I can't get the app to export them. It says "cannot create the folder..." Where are my jpegs? Lion...

You might try formatting whatever your document is in Word then saving it as a pdf and sending that off.

I must be missing something in the Preferences. It asks the destination of the backup and what I DON"T want backed up. I don't see where it asks what I DO.

I use an external HD as startup disk for my Mini. The original Macintosh HD just sits there (I think). I want Time Machine to backup the external not the original (which never changes). Is there a way?

Another clue perhaps: I downloaded Thunderbird and gave it my gmail address. It proceeded to setup the account and (IMAP) and immediately downloaded two messages. But, when I used it to send (i.e. from gmail) it appeared to work but didn't deliver anything. So it's not just MAIL.

OK, I tried 587 as well as 465. I get: "Cannot send message using the server smtp.gmail.com" "The sender address lmr11235@gmail.com was rejected by the server smtp.gmail.com." I see the spinning wheel next to Inbox then get: Mail can't verify the identity of "pop.gmail.com". The reason (it says)...

My MAIL is no longer able to send using the outgoing smtp gmail server using my well worn username and password. It works fine from the gmail webpage but not from MAIL. Strange because MAIL's "Connection Doctor" says the connection is fine. OS 10.6.4 MAIL 4.3

If I boot from the Leopard drive (Mac mini) ITunes dosen't know the iPod touch is there. No synching or appearance in "Devices". If boot from an external drive running 10.4.11 it works as always. Did I miss an upgrade? Thanks

I just upgraded to 10.5. Immediately upon launch it did the software update and I'm now running 10.5.3. Trouble is, I downloaded Safari from Apple's website but it won't install... says the OS must be at least 10.5.2. I must be missing something here. Lew

I have replaced the HD on my son's eMac twice. I think it's because he leaves it on all the time and the HD cooks. But whatever, if I did it so can you. Advice: FOLLOW THE APPLE DIRECTIONS (see website) TO THE LETTER step by step forward and reverse. And I think any standard HD will fit. Good Luck.
