to copy dmg to a hdd drop to terminal and type sudo asr -source /path/to/diskimage.dmg -target /Volumes/targetdisk -noverify This will do a block level copy of the diskimage to the target disk.

Its always been like this for me... powerbook g4 1.5 + 1gig ram.. I believe it is due to the widgets themselves being reopened etc; I dont think it is a problem to be honest. You bring dashboard up - widgets "come back to life" and it may take a split second or two to get the new info...

Maybe they have not tried wwdc build? Comparatively, the last three builds I have tried are quicker or as quick as Panther.

Window resizing is dramatically improved imho.

This new build is rock solid for me... The previous build I had major issues with Safari crashing 7 times a day; I have not had it crash once and I've been running it over 24 hours now... that is a _good_ thing. :)

I find the white dialogs a huge throwback to the older systems personally.. I was kind of repulsed when I first copied a file because it appeared as if I'd spawned some "Classic" version of Finder (OS7/8) to copy a file... There's no way to "hide details" of a copy progress either...

Everyone has seen the white dialog boxes used for file copy dialogs now right? My question is... why? It almost feels like I'm running a carbon system 7 "copy" dialog...

Hi all, A friend has just purchased a new iBook and Apple are claiming they are out of stock and are awaiting new shipments (Australia); the story seems to change each day however with it being lost in couriers, missing, held up in secure storage, etc. It's now been two weeks since ordering...

Yeah, my girlfriend has one. I plugged it in and downloaded xmd, then saw that it only lets you edit track names and cant even copy songs to it, or off it (the minidisc). So I put her on the pc with the openmg software and showed her how to use it, I gave up and said something along the lines...
