Computer won't boot to safe mode, just hangs. I assume these settings have to be stored somewhere and can be manually deleted from a command line.

User Startup Items can be added or removed from the Users Panel in System Prefs. My question is, where is the configuration file(s) for this I cannot boot to the startup volume and want to manual delete User Startup Entries. The only thing I could find was in the System Preferences Startup...
