Graphics driver in windows effecting graphics in OSX?

No, I hadn't done any maintenance. Heck, I was just installing the trial version of windows x64 to have a little fun in my spare time with shockwave which isn't universal yet. My screen couldn't go past 1024 by 768 under windows so I installed a newer driver. Next thing I know, the whole...

Graphics driver in windows effecting graphics in OSX?

I'm not a mac newbie. I have had my macbook for a year come august. This is pre santa rosa. I also was sure that windows drivers effected only windows, however, either leopard suddenly started running a whole lot faster, or the driver had something to do with it. Spider-man 2 and Star wars...

I also posted this under mac hardware, but then thought it would be more appropriate in software. I just installed windows XP on my macbook. I then downloaded and installed the latest intel GMA 950 graphics driver. After the little program ran, the screen went crazy with colorful lines in it...

one way you can do it (ive done this before because my own purchased tiger cd was scratched) you can put your powerbook in target disk mode and plug it into your dad's imac using a firewire cable. Then boot from the OSX install cd and select to install on your powerbook's HDD. This will...

    Leopard: Bugs/Compatibility Reports

so far I haven't experience any major problems in leopard with my macbook. The only real problem is that my Lacie 500 gig HD won't show up. It does show up on my powerbook G4 running Tiger though. However, leopard has sped up the overall performance of my macbook and I am very satisfied with...

Macbook graphics in OSX vs graphics in Windows

I just got a new black macbook with 2 gigs of RAM and a 200 gig HD. I was planning to install windows XP using bootcamp because I heard that the graphics are better while running windows, and there are some games that are only for PCs that I would like to play on my mac. I read on wikipedia...

as of now, Apple does not offer the Mac OSX install discs for intel machines. However, even if apple did offer them for sale, or if you borrowed your friend's install disc, it will not install onto a non apple machine without hacking it first.

Newbie with an emac and a question???

It's an emac not an imac. emac = G4 so yes he will be able to run 10.5. I would first upgrade to tiger and add at least 512 MB's of RAM. I would imagine that with more RAM, leopard will run fine. But Tiger is so good that you probably would not need to upgrade for a while. Also, you can...

Tiger 10.4.8 on both systems at once

There is no way apple can find out that you are running the same OSX on two different systems unless you register both of them. When the setup assistant asks you if you want to register then say no, and you are home free. There is nothing wrong with doing it that way.
