Thanks for the suggestions. xemacs does work using "xemacs -nw" but I would like to get it working in its own window. I ran "dtruss xemacs" which produced a lot of output which I do not understand.

I'm running 10.5.6 and recently installed MacPorts. I wanted to get xemacs so I tried sudo port install xemacs which appeared to complete with no problems. But when I try to start xemacs from an X11 xterm I get the following error Unresolved inheritance operation Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem with installing 303Beta but my existing Safari (3.0.2) is already in the Applications folder. I wanted to try 303Beta because 3.0.2 crashes way too much to be useful. I'm running 10.4.10.

You are lucky. I put in an order for virtually the same system as yours in early August and it finally arrived last week. The difference is that I did get the 30 inch Cinema HD screen. Its amazing! Btw I second the suggestion to get more RAM.

No I am using the builtin bluetooth. I've checked the power save settings - there is no option having to do with shutting down bluetooth devices. Another clue to this puzzle is that my Apple bluetooth keyboard works just fine - it stays connected to the Powerbook.
