Anyone make a "media sleeve" for 1G iPod Touch?

Does anyone know if anyone out there makes a "media sleeve" for 1G iPod Touch? That is, something that looks like a thick, slightly over sized sleeve that plugs into the socket at the bottom and has a built-in microphone, speaker, camera and second socket on the bottom for docking? Is there...

    iPod Touch Making 3-tone Sound

Doubtful - not linked up to a WiFi when it happens, nor do I have any mail clients configured. I do all my web mail surfing directly through Safari in all cases. It only seems to be occurring on one particular song, nothing before or after. I'm thinking now that it may be a data corruption...

    iPod Touch Making 3-tone Sound

Hello all: When plugged in and charging through a direct power cable, I noticed that my iPod Touch (8GB) started playing this bizarre three tone alarm when playing music. It just sounds like the booo-booo-beee of a phone call just before it says "The connection can not be completed as dialed...

    Eudora In box corrupt

Believe it or not, changing the sound effects from the defaults (new mail found, etc.) to something else also cleared up a TON of problems for Eudora, including the stopping of corrupted mailboxes.

    "Expert Mode" in OSX?

Outstanding! I knew someone would have the answer one way or another. Looks like a handy little tool. Going to play with it tonight, provided my electricity gets turned on again. Got hit with that big storm that nailed Northern Virginia last night. Not pretty around here. Thanks very much!

    "Expert Mode" in OSX?

Hello all. Question: Back in the days when NeXTStep and OpenStep were around (much of which seems to have become OSX to some degree or other), there was an "Expert Mode" in one of the main Desktop preferences, where it would allow you to see all the hidden "dot.files", like .cshrc and the...

best audio editing software to add sound effects

I use Amadeus II. Not as full-featured as the other big-names but it gets the job done and is quite inexpensive ($30 for single-user license). I think it may be the bastard red-headed stepchild of Macromedia's old SoundEdit 16 from back-in-the-day. It has a very similar interface.

    toast not working!

Might have been the particular burner I was using. Not sure. Upgrading to 9 definitely fixed it though.

    toast not working!

The most compelling feature of Toast 9 for me is that it was the only version that would work on Leopard for me. Version 8, for whatever reason, couldn't find the DVD burner. Upgrading to 9 fixed the problem. I recall a similar thing happening when I initially upgraded from OSX 10.2 to OSX 10.3

Front Row Plays Audio But No Video

Hello, all: Having an odd problem with Front Row. I have a G5 w/ dual 2GHz processors running the latest of Leopard. I've seen a lot of complaints about FR with laptops, but not much with towers. The menu system and interface works fine, but when I select a trailer to view, it comes up, but...

    DVD stuck... help please!

There is always the "paperclip option", although I don't know if the MacBooks have the little eject hole to manually push the tray out.

    Leopard & non-standard BSD Weirdness

Hello! I posted this on the forums and I figured I'd try this as well to see if anything comes of it. First off, I just got a used dual-core 2.5GHz G5 to succeed my poor old 500MHz G4. She's served me well, but it's finally time to upgrade. So! I got the new machine and I installed 10.5...

Lepoard 10.5, Apple Tech Support and non-standard BSD Weirdness

Thanks much to all for the comments. I eventually wound up installing 10.4 fresh on the new machine, pulled everything over across the network and it all worked out fine. There were a few apps I needed to newly re-install, like Office (thanks Captain Code - yes, that was a necessary thing to...

    Leopard OEM

IIRC, OEM discs are the same as regular retail stand-alone Apple discs, just with different labeling. I don't think they're "keyed" to one particular machine, if that's what you're asking. I don't even think Microsoft does that with their Windows OEM discs - so I would say, yes, it's...

Lepoard 10.5, Apple Tech Support and non-standard BSD Weirdness

Hello, all: First time posting here and it's a doozy! First off, I just got a used dual-core 2.5GHz G5 to succeed my poor old 500MHz G4. She's served me well, but it's finally time to upgrade. So! I got the new machine and I installed 10.5 on it (the old G4 had 10.4) and started...
